May 23: Historical Vacation
Are you looking for some where new and exciting to go to this summer? You want to go somewhere that is fun yet have the
While you are visiting the Stark Museum of Art in the great state of Texas you will be in for a historical treat. With the many items that they have on display there is sure to be something that will spark more than a glimmer of interest. You will find that they have sections of Western Art, American Indian Art, Decorative Arts, and Rare Books and Manuscripts.
Children of all ages will marvel at the beautiful workings on display by the different Indian tribes. Art work which has lasted over the years showing a large piece of their tribal views and beliefs. Thus expanding and opening the visitors minds to the creativity of these wondrous tribes of years gone by. The tribal artists putting their hearts and souls into each painting, sculpture and other artifacts on display.
If this is not enough, visiting the rare books and manuscripts section will liberate your senses of past written master pieces. Seeing something that which is so old and rare is something that I suggest everyone at one time or the other see. It puts the authors work in perspective seeing the original works in writing. Much different than a newer book by said author.
The Stark Museum, in Orange, Texas set up the Stark Foundation in the 1960's to make it the life long goal of bringing culture to the community. Seeing the past helps to formulate our present and future. A truly heart warming foundation created by the Stark family of years gone by.
A historical vacation is something that one and all will remember for years in the future. For a pictorial view and more information on this museum one should visit their site. It shows and tells all the facts and history of this museum. Something that even if you are unable to visit in person, you should experience on their site.
